Almost three-quarters of Britons have considered leaving the UK this year, with most of them wishing for a life in Australia, a new study has found.

Three in ten said the poor state of the economy was their reason for wanting to emigrate, a survey found.

Research found that small and medium-sized enterprises lose between 1 per cent and 3 per cent on each foreign exchange transaction, costing them as much as £1,200 a time.

SMALL firms trading overseas have been urged to examine their banks’ currency charges.
