Supporting the community

Being proud partners of the Queens Park Rangers Trust, Currency UK are proud to be involved in the QPR Trust Traineeship with Queens Park Rangers and Microsoft. The programme creates opportunities and helps unlock the full potential of young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment and training (NEET).

Most young adults are expected to prove their ability in a vigorous work environment, however, it’s very difficult to gain some relevant work experience due to the highly competitive job market. This programme helps these individuals to showcase their capabilities, improve their confidence and encourage them to build a positive attitude towards working. It lasts 12 weeks and the students alternate between Currency UK, Queen Park Rangers and Microsoft. There are professional networking opportunities and we celebrate the students’ achievements with a graduation celebration.

One of the students said “Currency UK has been fantastic, [I’ve been] getting to know about what different companies do and how they all work” and “A few things I have achieved at Currency UK is making lots of friends and being a part of something I have not been a part of before”.

Currency UK has been committed to the programme to create meaningful and long-lasting change in the community. We have been delighted to be a part of the programme and see the students are happy and benefiting from their time with us.
